CO-CURRICULAR To supplement classroom teaching and traditional learning, out-of-class activities with a similar focus on the subject are often held. Nature rambles ( to local waterfalls, the hills and dales, forests, sunrise viewpoints ), inter-class poster and chart contests, board displays, models, science and geography projects are some of the non-traditional avenues of learning. Exhibitions are held from time to time, to which parents and visiting schools are invited.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR: St. Anthony's provides facilities, space, coaching and equipment for the following outdoor games: cricket and volleyball, football and basketball. The juniors revel in "Tunnel the Ball" "Hop and Skip", "Throw Ball" and a fiesta of fun and frolic, along with Physical Education in the curriculum.
INDOOR GAMES: During the monsoons, indoor games played are chess and carroms, Chinese checkers, Tambola and other diversions as the children see fit. Table tennis is played throughout the year, with an Inter-School Contest held annually. Chess is also hotly contested by the various hill schools.
Debating and Extempore Speaking, Elocution ( Choral and Individual Recitations ), Quizzing and Dramatics, Singing and music lessons are taken seriously at both junior and senior levels. Inter-class contests prepare the best for inter-school meets. The juniors have a singing class, twice weekly.
Having participated in Inter-School Contests in every discipline, St. Anthony's has won trophies, accolades and laurels over the years. The complete recital of victories would overload this website ! The Anthonian is a dedicated sportsperson ( the girls too excel in table tennis ) and imbibes the lessons from the game.
